What is Mental Health Bridges?

Mental Health Bridges was developed with the simple idea that persons with mental health disorders can learn how to better manage information about their mental and physical health.  Once someone becomes more “health literate,” they can find better online information resources and use these resources to have better, more productive conversations with health care providers, friends, and family.  This site does not provide health information but does teach you how to effectively put good information to work in your life.

This site was created through a grant from the U.S. National Library of Medicine/National Institutes of Health.  It is hosted by the Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts and was created by an interdisciplinary team of librarians and mental health professionals from Harvard Medical School, Brandeis University, and the University of Massachusetts Medical School.  The site is managed by an advisory group in collaboration with the Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine – Harvard Medical School, and the Association of Mental Health Librarians.

The site is constantly being updating with new material.  We welcome comments from all users.
